Time is running out for the Carolina Panthers if they want to be playing meaningful football in January. They are now outside the play-off places following their disappointing Week 11 loss to the Washington Football Team, which was another strong indicator of just how much work remains for the roster and coaching staff in pursuit of becoming a legitimate contender.
It’s been an absolute rollercoaster for the Panthers this season. From the quarterback drama, poor offensive line play, coaching complications, and an uncharacteristically lackluster display from the defense last time out, there’s rarely been a time when the complete performance was put together.
This separates the good teams from the great.
Considering how difficult things could be for Carolina following their Week 13 bye, then there is simply no more margin for error despite being half a game back of the Minnesota Vikings.
However, it wasn’t all bad. Even though it might have seemed so at the time.
But things have to get a whole lot better in Week 12 at the Miami Dolphins and beyond if the Panthers want to sneak themselves into the playoffs from what is obviously a wide-open NFC race.
