Christian McCaffrey came through another game unscathed

Another game in the books for Christian McCaffrey.

Another one in which the All-Pro running back emerged unscathed.

This might sound like nothing, but the more McCaffrey can do this, the greater his and the Carolina Panthers’ confidence will be down the stretch. Getting injured constantly has its obvious effects on the body physically, but it can also impact a player mentally which cannot be ignored.

McCaffrey seems like a strong character. And make no mistake, the Panthers need him fit and firing on all cylinders to stand any chance of overcoming the odds and reaching the postseason.

The Stanford product linked up well with Cam Newton out of the backfield, which culminated in a beautiful receiving touchdown that put Carolina right back in the contest.

In the end, McCaffrey accumulated 17 combined touches for 119 yards and one score. If there was one slight on his performance, it’s that the player didn’t get past the sticks on a failed fourth-down that ultimately condemned Carolina to defeat.

In a disappointing game and result overall, the Panthers can take some solace from the fact McCaffrey got more reps under his belt with no further hamstring complications. After their game at the Miami Dolphins, he’ll be able to enjoy another good period of rest before Carolina’s daunting run-in.
