Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL

This might be a necessity rather than a desire if Dennis Daley cannot prove his fitness after leaving the Week 11 game. But considering how well Brady Christensen performed on the blindside, now is the time to see just what the Carolina Panthers have in their third-round pick.

Christensen has been something of an enigma where the Panthers are concerned this season. The coaching staff hasn’t had the first clue where best to utilize his talents, with the lineman occupying every spot on the protection outside of center at some stage or another.

It seems as if left tackle was the last place Carolina wanted to deploy Christensen despite the player starring in this position at BYU en route to earning the highest-ever grade given to an offensive lineman by Pro Football Focus.

Arm length seems to be the biggest concern surrounding Christensen. But he didn’t give up a sack or pressure on Sunday and deserves the chance to show what he can do with a consistent run in the team.

Carolina’ offensive line has undergone some big changes throughout the season. Not exactly ideal when the protection needs stability and continuity in equal measure.

The Miami Dolphins are generating just 2.1 sacks-per-game in 2021. So there will never be a better contest for Christensen to shine and potentially cement his place in the lineup following the bye week.
