Tua Tagovailoa – QB

It’s only year two in the NFL for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and boy, it’s been a rocky road so far.

After an average rookie season, rumors of Miami trading for Deshaun Watson surrounded the team all offseason and up until the trade deadline, putting uncertainty on Tagovailoa’s time with the Dolphins.

This season, Tagovailoa missed some games with a broken finger and then didn’t get his starting job back until just last week as backup Jacoby Brissett started five games.

Even while dealing with adversity, Tagovailoa has performed pretty well this year.

The 1-4 record in his first five starts this season didn’t help. But Tagovaila is coming off his best game last week against the New York Jets, completing 27-of-33 passes for 273 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.

The week prior, Tagovailoa took over midway through the game and helped guide the team to a victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Miami is finally finding its identity after a horrid start and the consistency of the former Alabama star is a big reason for that.

If Tagovailoa struggles, so do the Dolphins.

After allowing Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke to have a field day last week, the Carolina Panthers have to limit Tagovailoa.
