Carolina Panthers had no answer for Jaylen Waddle

For the second straight week, the opposition’s best receiving threat smoked the Carolina Panthers.

In Week 11, it was Terry McLaurin.

In Week 12, it was Jaylen Waddle.

The rookie wideout out of Alabama wasn’t the No. 6 overall selection for nothing. He’s growing in stature with every passing contest and Waddle put together easily the most dominant performance of his young career to date.

Waddle was unstoppable in the first half and continued this trend after the break. The Panthers didn’t seem all that keen on sticking him up against All-Pro Stephon Gilmore, but there was no contingency plan once his influence began to grow.

The Miami Dolphins haven’t got many other options in the passing game due to injury. But against the Panthers, they didn’t need anything else.

This is becoming a growing problem. One that the Panthers need to figure out in some shape or form during the bye week.

Waddle eventually finished the game with nine receptions for 137 receiving yards and a touchdown. Not limiting his production sufficiently came back to bite the Panthers in a big way.
