Carolina Panthers were not prepared

Although Matt Rhule stated during his post-game presser that he thought the Carolina Panthers were prepared, his omission that they were outplayed and outcoached tells a different story.

If both these things happen, you aren’t ready.

And there is no masking this brutal fact whatsoever.

At times it looked like the Panthers simply turned up on the day with no clue who they were playing or what the opposition’s strengths were. That might sound a little harsh, but there was not one part of the game where one felt Carolina could pull away and get a victory.

The Panthers had no answer for the Miami Dolphins’ blitz-happy scheme. They were also able to churn out yards on the ground and get what they needed through the air despite some key injuries.

It’s pretty tiresome banging on about the same problem week after week. But the coaching staff is doing nothing to rectify these issues and it’s coming with some pretty big ramifications.

Whatever the coaching staff is doing during the week in readiness for games, it’s not working.

They now have the bye week to figure things out and make no mistake, the last five games are going to be a referendum on Rhule’s time as head coach and his prospects moving forward.
