Final. 10. 87. 33. 59

Arguably one of the worse losses of the season, the Carolina Panthers are all losers entering the bye week, and things don’t look promising.

The honeymoon of welcoming Cam Newton back is officially over and the Carolina Panthers have some major problems as they enter the bye week.

After a tough loss to the Washington Football Team, Carolina showed no progress this Sunday, getting completely steamrolled by the streaking Miami Dolphins.

Unlike last week, when it was the defense that lost the Panthers a game, everyone from top to bottom played poorly in Week 12.

Instead of picking three winners and three losers, we’re back to just trying to pinpoint what went wrong since it wouldn’t be fair to single out three or six individual losers from this game.

Cam Newton was awful for the Carolina Panthers

Look, Cam Newton has been a great story since he re-signed with Carolina and played very well in his first start last week.

He rushed for another touchdown in the first quarter in this one but after that, he just looked horrendous. In total, he completed just 5-of-21 passes for 92 yards and two interceptions.

The one shining moment for Newton was a 64-yard pass to D.J. Moore in the first quarter.

It wasn’t just a bad game but one of the worst he’s had in his career. Newton was benched in the fourth quarter for P.J. Walker and he wasn’t much better, throwing his own pick on his opening series, where he was also sacked twice.

Newton wasn’t protected well by his offensive line and his receivers struggled, also. However, that can’t be used as an excuse.
