4 coaching changes the Carolina Panthers could make in 2022

Pat Meyer – Carolina Panthers OL coach
Another pretty obvious change that is needed.
Since 2020 when Pat Meyer joined the staff, the Carolina Panthers offensive line has consistently been one of the worst-performing units in the league.
Now Meyer hasn’t been helped by the limited resources to work with. However, he must simply get this unit playing better.
Through 12 games this Panthers unit has allowed 31 sacks which are tied for fifth-worst in the league. Another issue with Meyer’s coaching is the progression of rookie Brady Christensen – you’d imagine the coach has some sway as to whether the former BYU stud sees serious playing time.
Coming off his best NFL performance against the Washington Football Team in Week 11 wherein 26 pass-blocking snaps he allowed zero quarterback pressures or sacks, the best thing would have been to then continue his development by giving him the start at the Miami Dolphins.
Instead, the Panthers went back to Dennis Daley – a guard who had been shoehorned in at tackle where he has struggled.
We then ended with the farcical scene of Daley and Christensen both in the game playing each others position. Although that probably wasn’t Meyer’s call at the end of the day.
