4 potential destinations if the Panthers let Donte Jackson walk in 2022

Washington Football Team
Former Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera took one of his old second-round picks to the Washington Football Team last spring when he signed wide receiver Curtis Samuel. If someone with the talent of Donte Jackson hits the market, it would be a big shock if the respected figure didn’t make a strong push.
Washington is showing signs of life after a disappointing start and currently occupies a wildcard spot in an NFC race that’s going to the wire. They have some top weapons on their defensive front and acquiring Jackson to boost their secondary could be the spark this team needs to become a real force.
Jackson has huge respect for Rivera – there’s no doubt about that. The coach was instrumental in the Panthers drafting him out of LSU and although injury problems hindered his early development, the player has begun to show why he was taken on Day 2 back in 2018.
Rivera’s got an exciting but inconsistent, team at his disposal. However, Washington is projected to have $61.5 million in salary-cap space next year even before the necessary adjustments are made to free-up further funds.
This could mean Washington has the capital to put a substantial offer in Jackson’s direction and hope he signs on the dotted line.
