Las Vegas Raiders

Another team that should be on the lookout for cornerback help this offseason is the Las Vegas Raiders. Especially with what’s gone on within the organization in recent weeks.

The franchise had to release Damon Arnette following a disturbing incident on social media, which came just a few short days after Henry Ruggs was arrested and released after being charged with DUI resulting in the death of another person. So getting additional reinforcements is absolutely crucial no matter who is running the show.

Donte Jackson might fancy the bright lights of Vegas in favor of the Carolina Panthers if there is a mutual interest. Plus the Raiders have been well known to overpay for veteran players in the past.

Although Casey Hayward Jr. is serviceable, the Raiders need much more if they want to make a serious run in an AFC West division that is among the toughest in football. Simply put, Jackson would help an untold amount based on his production earlier on this season.

There is some damage control that needs to happen in Las Vegas in the coming months. But those in power must also make the necessary moves to keep things on the field trending in the right direction.

The commercial opportunities for Jackson would also be great in this scenario. But who knows, the Panthers might work something out to ensure he sticks around long-term despite the current uncertainty.
