The Carolina Panthers stumbled into the bye week bloodied and bruised, what are some things the team must do during their much-needed respite?

There was a brief moment of hope for the Carolina Panthers after a shocking win at the Arizona Cardinals and a heartbreaking loss to the Washington Football Team in Cam Newton’s return to Charlotte. However, that hope was short-lived and quite possibly misplaced.

A 33-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday showed for all to see just how far this team is from seriously competing for anything more than an also-ran trophy. It also did little to quell the calls for Matt Rhule’s time as a coach to come to an end only a year and a half into his tenure.

While it may seem like those calls are a bit of an overreaction, the Panthers are just bad, and sticking with a coach past the point where you know they are not the right fit, just like with a quarterback, will set a team back years.

It is a lot easier to clean up a mess before it gets rotten after all.

Apart from coaching, there are numerous injury issues that are beginning to become a worrying trend.

Injuries may be something out of the control of everyone involved. However, the Panthers seem to lose star players at an alarming rate recently. Something that a week of rest will hopefully help.

There is a lot that this Panthers squad needs to address during their frustratingly late bye week. Most of it cannot be magically fixed by a power nap and a little duct tape.

That being said, what are some fatal flaws the Panthers can fix during their bye week to get things back on track?
