After a much-needed break from football-related activities, the Carolina Panthers get back down to business next Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. This is a chance for Matt Rhule’s men to sweep their NFC South rivals and get their stuttering campaign back on track after two demoralizing defeats to the Washington Football Team and Miami Dolphins before the bye.

Carolina will be moving forward without All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey and cornerback Donte Jackson, who were both placed on season-ending injured/reserve during the bye. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady is also gone after his shock firing on Sunday afternoon.

This makes life more difficult, obviously. But in McCaffrey’s case, the coaching staff should have a firm plan in place on how to cope considering how much time the former first-round pick has missed during the last two seasons.

The Falcons have also gone through some turmoil this season. They currently sit at 5-7 following their home loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13 and some big changes could be afoot in Atlanta if things continue in this manner over the next five games.

Panthers vs Falcons Odds Week 14

The Week 14 betting odds on WynnBET have the Panthers as 3.0-point favorites at Bank of America Stadium. They have -150 (bet $150 to win $100) money line odds, while the Falcons are the underdogs at +130 (bet $100 to win $130).

The total for the game is set at an over/under of 43.0 points, which is available at -110 in both directions (bet $110 to win $100).

Panthers vs Falcons Prediction Week 14

Carolina couldn’t have picked many better games coming off their bye. The extra preparation time will help and quarterback Cam Newton should also be more familiar with the playbook coming up against a franchise he’s enjoyed considerable success against in the past.

Although it might be too late for the playoffs, the team has to gain some sort of momentum ahead of a torrid run of games down the stretch. And if no adjustments have been made or performance levels continue to dip, the pressure on this coaching staff will go through the roof.

The stakes are obviously high. However, all hope is not lost just yet and we are predicting the Panthers to pick up their sixth win of the campaign by a 28-17 margin.

Whether this Jekyll and Hyde outfit can accomplish this or not is another matter entirely.
