5 Falcons players the Carolina Panthers must keep quiet in Week 14

Cordarrelle Patterson – RB/WR
It’s been simply amazing that after nine seasons in the NFL, Cordarrelle Patterson is finally having a breakout year. Although he has been an All-Pro a few times as a kick returner for multiple teams.
Somehow, the Atlanta Falcons have managed to get the most out of Patterson this season as he’s basically been the entire offense. Something that was needed due to Calvin Ridley taking time off to improve his mental health.
Only missing one game due to injury, Patterson has been in a hybrid role, leading the team in rushing and ranking second in receiving yards. He has already hit the 1,000 yards-from-scrimmage mark for the year with five games to go.
He’s scored nine touchdowns so far and the Falcons would not have five wins without him.
Patterson did have enough talent coming out of college for the Minnesota Vikings to take him in the first round. But nobody could find the right formula on offense to maximize his potential before arriving in Atlanta.
The last time Patterson played the Carolina Panthers a few weeks ago, he had 35 yards on the ground and 37 in the air without a touchdown. But he’ll be looking to get back in the end zone.
Patterson has only gotten better the past few weeks and is becoming more confident with every passing week. The Panthers have to limit him as much as possible to keep the Falcons’ offense inept.
