2 winners and 2 losers from Panthers loss vs. the Falcons in Week 14
By Jason Huber
Who were the big winners and losers from the Carolina Panthers’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons?
The bye week did the Carolina Panthers no favors as they returned with their third straight loss, this time to the division-rival Atlanta Falcons on another dismal afternoon at Bank of America Stadium.
After firing offensive coordinator Joe Brady last week, Carolina showed they still have many other problems and was ultimately ill-fated by turnovers against the Falcons.
The Panthers have now lost eight of their past 10 games and three straight overall. That includes five consecutive home losses.
Things are just bad right now for Carolina and there seems to be no glimmer of hope. Christian McCaffrey is out for the year, the quarterback position is still a mess and the defense seems to have been fool’s gold earlier in the season.
With the loss to Atlanta, the Panthers are one more loss away from having yet another losing season and are all but officially out of playoff contention.
To make matters worse, they play the Buffalo Bills next week, then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers twice and New Orleans Saints to close out the year. It’s highly possible Carolina doesn’t win another game.
With that said, here are two winners and two losers from Sunday’s game.
