Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
We’ve seen Robby Anderson listed as a loser multiple times this season. But he finally comes in as a winner thanks to his best performance of the year by far.
In what has been an abysmal year for the receiver, Anderson hauled in a season-high seven receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.
Ironically, Anderson’s touchdown came from P.J. Walker, instead of Cam Newton in the fourth quarter.
The touchdown was his fourth of the year but this game should be a huge confidence booster for him as the season dwindles down.
Anderson still can’t make up for how bad he’s performed after signing a contract extension this offseason. But if he continues to put up decent numbers in these final few games without Joe Brady running the offensive play calls, it would help the Carolina Panthers feel a little more confident about him this offseason.
Obviously, consistency is key where any wideout is concerned. Something that Anderson simply hasn’t managed to accomplish at any stage in 2021.
Hopefully, his performance against the Atlanta Falcons will become the confidence boost he needs.
