2 winners and 2 losers from Panthers loss vs. the Falcons in Week 14

Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers QB
Remember that honeymoon phase of when Cam Newton returned a few weeks and everything in the world seemed good?
Yeah, unfortunately, that is long gone and Newton is showing why he wasn’t signed for so long this year.
Newton did rush for a 12-yard touchdown in the first quarter. But we all know he can still run the ball. When it came to throwing against the Atlanta Falcons, he struggled big time.
There were some nice thrown balls to D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson, but he had a horrendous pick-six in the second quarter, which, in his defense, was a great defensive play by Atlanta’s Mykal Walker.
Then, when Carolina began to show some life in the third quarter and began driving, Newton made a horrible mistake by attempting to hand off the ball to Chuba Hubbard while he was being tackled, which led to a fumble that Atlanta recovered.
The fumble was a play that shouldn’t happen by a veteran quarterback.
Newton wasn’t ‘benched,’ but he was alternated out for backup P.J. Walker in the second and fourth quarter.
Newton is now 0-3 as a starter since returning to the Carolina Panthers and things don’t look promising. Although there are some obvious factors working against the former Auburn sensation.
