Which Carolina Panthers players must be demoted immediately following the team’s Week 14 defeat against the Atlanta Falcons?

With just four games of the 2021 season remaining, the Carolina Panthers find themselves in flux with plenty of huge decisions ahead of them this offseason. A rollercoaster campaign took another turn in Week 14 when Matt Rhule’s men were beaten against the Atlanta Falcons, which was flat and disappointing in equal measure -especially coming off the bye week.

What comes next for the Panthers is unclear. They are set for a brutal run-in that includes two games against the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with a difficult-looking trip to the Buffalo Bills also on the immediate horizon in Week 15.

Those in power probably have a strong indication as to what’s required to push Carolina on to bigger and better things in 2022. For others, the next month will go a long way to determining their overall futures with the franchise.

With playoff hopes gone, the time for experimentation could now be upon Rhule and his staff. It appears as if the head coach will still be in charge next season despite increasing pressure, but any further mistakes in terms of personnel could come back to haunt the former Baylor man in a big way.

The Panthers don’t have much else to lose this season. One that began promisingly before tailing off in truly dramatic and almost incomprehensible fashion.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players that should be demoted immediately in favor of better – or younger – options.
