Morgan Fox – Carolina Panthers DL

It’s been a solid first season with the Carolina Panthers for Morgan Fox. The defensive lineman settled into a new environment well following his free-agent move from the Los Angeles Rams, coming up with some big plays during the season and really flashing enormous promise along the way.

Things have tailed off slightly for Fox in recent weeks. He’s failing to generate the same push we saw earlier in the campaign and what comes next down the stretch could determine just how large his role will be in 2022.

Asking Fox to fill up the stat sheet in a similar fashion to someone like Haason Reddick or Brian Burns would be a stretch. He’s simply not that explosive type of player.

That’s why it’s essential Fox lends more support against the run. Another area that’s trending on a downward curve for Carolina since their exceptional start to the campaign.

Fox cannot be found wanting for effort. And there has been far more good than bad regarding his production this season.

However, consistency is an issue that needs resolving not only for Fox but for the entire defense if they want to get out of their slump. Not to mention the lineman is counting $5.6 million against the salary cap in 2022.
