5 Bills players the Carolina Panthers must keep quiet in Week 15

Jordan Poyer – S
The Buffalo Bills defense is still very good and safety Jordan Poyer has been one of the big reasons for that the past few years.
Arguably one of the most underrated safeties in the league, Poyer is having a very good year. The gifted defensive back already has a career-high five interceptions, and ranks second on the team with 77 total tackles.
Poyer hasn’t allowed a touchdown to any player yet this year and will provide another tough matchup for whichever quarterback Matt Rhule decides to trot out onto the field this week in Buffalo.
The Carolina Panthers offense didn’t look much better with Jeff Nixon running the play calls and the Bills’ defense is tougher than many of the opponents they’ve faced this year. Not exactly anything to inspire a significant amount of confidence and that’s without speaking of a torrid run of form the team is in right now.
With a shutdown safety like Poyer, who is in the middle of an All-Pro caliber year, Carolina will have its work cut out for them. Whether that’s deciding to throw the ball in his direction or running around him, Nixon has to have a good game plan as he continues to audition for the role long-term in the wake of Joe Brady’s firing.
