Micah Hyde – S

Just as much as his teammate Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde is one of the biggest reasons the Buffalo Bills defense has been so good recently. One could even argue that this is the NFL’s best safety tandem given how well hey’ve both performed this season.

As Buffalo has struggled these past few weeks, Hyde has been of the players to be visibly upset during post-game pressers about trying to turn around the team’s fortunes.

The 30-year-old safety has continued to put up very good numbers this year even as he ages, already totaling three interceptions, 55 tackles, six sacks and seven passes defended in 13 games.

Hyde will provide a huge challenge for the Carolina Panthers offense just as Poyer will be. And to imagine both of them struggling is hard to envision and something Cam Newton will have to monitor closely at all times when distributing the football downfield.

Can it happen? You never know. But Hyde is the leader of this defense and he’ll be looking to have a big after such a tough loss last week.
