Here are some bold predictions as the Carolina Panthers look to cause a major upset at the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.

Expectations are low for the Carolina Panthers after a torrid run of recent results that’s put their playoff hopes needing nothing short of a miracle. This isn’t what anybody expected after a 3-0 start against less than stellar opposition, but the pressure is on to generate some momentum before the campaign comes to a conclusion otherwise drastic changes could be afoot.

Carolina’s gone from the easiest schedule to the toughest run of fixtures over the remaining four games, which starts with a daunting trip to the Buffalo Bills to take on former defensive coordinator Sean McDermott and ex-players who are thriving in a different environment.

Not the best time of year to be playing Buffalo given how cold things get up north. Not only this, but the Bills are also fighting for postseason seeding, which should bring a heightened sense of the urgency that the Panthers must deal with.

A huge test of character awaits. Here are five bold predictions for the Panthers as they look to attain what would be one of the shocks of the 2021 season.

Brandon Zylstra leads the Carolina Panthers in receptions

Hopefully, D.J. Moore can get over his hamstring injury in time to take the field. The Carolina Panthers can ill-afford to be without one of their star players for such a tough game, but if the former first-round pick misses out or is limited in some capacity, it could represent a bigger role for Brandon Zylstra to make an impact.

Zylstra is a solid route-runner with reliable hands. So it’s confusing he’s been on the outside looking in when it comes to targets throughout most of the campaign.

His influence is steadily increasing over the last few weeks. Should Moore’s status be a complication on game day, then Zylstra could even lead the team in receptions when it’s all said and done.
