Chuba Hubbard has a 100-yard game for the Carolina Panthers
Considering the Carolina Panthers wanted to run the football more after firing offensive coordinator Joe Brady, it came with just 26 rushing plays and some of those can be attributed to quarterback scrambles. That’s what happens when you’re playing from behind.
Jeff Nixon’s had another week to install his ethos on offense, so we could see some improvements providing Carolina’s offensive line somehow starts putting their playmakers in the best possible position to succeed. The best way to stifle the Buffalo Bills is keeping their high-octane passing attack off the field, which can be done by churning up the clock and using the run to their advantage.
Chuba Hubbard accumulated just 10 carries for 33 rushing yards in Week 14. The fourth-round pick continues to have trouble gaining yards after contact and will find life extremely difficult this weekend against a defense that can dominate games with some early momentum.
That being said, there is a glimmer of hope for Hubbard and the Panthers.
One only has to look at how the New England Patriots ran all over Buffalo to see that.
Providing Carolina keeps it relatively close and goes with a run-heavy approach, then Hubbard going over 100 yards for the second time in his career might be a possibility.
