Which Carolina Panthers players should be benched immediately after the team fell to another loss at the Buffalo Bills in Week 15?
The wreckage from another morale-sapping loss for the Carolina Panthers is well underway. Matt Rhule’s men were heavy underdogs for their Week 15 clash at the Buffalo Bills, but it was a tepid display for the most part as the team was once again comfortably beaten to confirm a fourth-straight losing season since owner David Tepper bought the franchise from Jerry Richardson.
Changes are needed. But just how substantial is unlikely to be determined until the Panthers conclude their run of games down the stretch.
Rhule is clearly a man under significant pressure. Blaming everyone but his own failings is a textbook way of deflecting attention, but things aren’t right within the organization and a 2-9 record following a 3-0 start is proof positive of this.
Something Rhule and his players cannot run away from.
The same problems keep coming up time and time again. Rectifying them has been a complete failure for the Panthers and unless some sort of miracle happens in the coming days, things are set to get even worse over the next three fixtures.
Carolina is now mercifully out of playoff contention. So there are no more excuses not to give some young players more time on the field at the expense of veterans who simply aren’t performing to the required standard.
With this in mind, here are three Panthers players that should be benched immediately following their loss at the Bills.
