Bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers as they look to end their home campaign on a high against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16.

Another daunting task awaits the Carolina Panthers this weekend as the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to town. This is the last time Matt Rhule’s men will take the field at Bank of America Stadium in 2021, so it’s vital they send long-suffering fans home with something to cheer after a disappointing year so far.

Things are not right within the Panthers right now. Losing football will do that to a franchise and the situation isn’t being helped by constant change at key areas of the field for one reason or another.

The Buccaneers are coming into the game on the back of a shutout loss against the New Orleans Saints. They’ll also be without some key offensive playmakers for the clash, but legendary signal-caller Tom Brady will want to bounce back in customary fashion despite having to rely on backups and the returning Antonio Brown.

Without further ado, here are five bold predictions for the Panthers in Week 16.

Carolina Panthers gain 5+ sacks

As stated previously, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are seriously depleted on the offensive side of things. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Leonard Fournette are all set to miss the contest, which forced the team to sign free-agent running back Le’Veon Bell in their absence.

Another element that emerged from their loss in Week 15 was the amount of pressure New Orleans was able to generate on Brady. Something the Carolina Panthers can take advantage of given how well their defensive front performed at the Buffalo Bills.

Brady is a 44-year-old that has to get rid of the ball quickly to thrive and avoid punishment. However, our first bold prediction has the Panthers attaining five or more sacks that would help their cause enormously.
