5 big talking points from the Panthers loss vs. Bucs in Week 16

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper coming under the microscope
Fans ire is now starting to shift now toward the owner alongside the head coach.
It really couldn’t have gone much worse for David Tepper in his ownership so far. Through four years, he has compiled a record of 22-41 with only 10 of those wins coming from his coaching hire.
Tepper made a big statement when he bought the team from Jerry Richardson that he would not put up with “constant mediocrity”. Frankly, the Carolina Panthers haven’t even been that.
The billionaire has shown little in the way of patience at times. Mainly with the casting aside of Teddy Bridgewater after just one year under center in favor of Sam Darnold.
However, the owner has so far shown restraint when it comes to his head coach more than likely because he sees Matt Rhule as a program builder.
The issue is, rebuilding a college franchise that Rhule did at Baylor and Temple is totally different from an NFL team. So far we’ve seen Carolina regress in its second year under his leadership.
If Tepper wants to keep the fans onside, he must act swiftly. For the majority of fans, that would mean we see a new head coach in 2022.
