Matt Rhule – Carolina Panthers HC

Unless the Carolina Panthers find a way to win in their final two games, head coach Matt Rhule will continue to appear on this list.

Once again, Rhule’s team came out completely unprepared and got even worse than they were last week. It might only be Year 2 of this rebuild, but there seems to be no progression in Carolina.

The talent is there but they haven’t performed.

Rhule told the media this week that he would play both Cam Newton and Sam Darnold at quarterback and he stayed true to his word. And it was a disaster.

Newton threw an interception in the first quarter and when Rhule put Darnold in, he threw a long pass to D.J. Moore but Rhule preceded to put the former NFL MVP back in before switching to the USC product again.

Yes, I know, that’s a lot and that was just one drive. It’s mind-boggling how Rhule thought a quarterback carousel would work but it didn’t.

To make matters worse, fans began chanting “Fire Rhule” late in the game. This could not have sat well with the second-year coach.

It’s still uncertain whether Rhule will get a third year. But either way, he’s pretty hated in the Carolinas right now and Tepper has a big decision to make one way or another.
