Which Carolina Panthers players haven’t had nearly enough credit for their efforts during the 2021 season so far?

Although the 2021 season has descended into chaos for the Carolina Panthers, there have been some bright spots for the team amid so much doom and gloom.

This might not have been enough to end their concerning run of losing campaigns since team owner David Tepper took charge. But it couldt lead to some real progress next time around providing those in power nail their recruitment and personnel decisions during a hugely important offseason.

This is something the Panthers are now fully focused on. Their loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 was another tepid performance that offered very little, which became another sign that players and coaches already have one eye on their end of season plans.

Some individuals are coming in for substantial criticism, which is born out of frustration with how things are transpiring on the field. However, these four Panthers players haven’t got nearly enough credit for their efforts during the 2021 season so far.

It’s been a slow burn of sorts for Yetur Gross-Matos this season. The second-year-pro has been featured prominently on the rotation and his role is gradually increasing with every passing week, which is an encouraging sign ahead of a big campaign for the Penn State product in 2022.

Gross-Matos has been used on the edge and as a three-technique on the interior in obvious pass-rushing situations. This versatility is something Carolina’s current regime seeks a bunch in their players and will only help the lineman’s cause in the years to come.

Although his contribution has been relatively overlooked, Gross-Matos is making some eye-catching strides and hopefully, this is a trend that can continue during the upcoming offseason.
