4 Carolina Panthers players who haven’t had enough credit in 2021

Myles Hartsfield – Carolina Panthers DB
The Carolina Panthers defense hasn’t been given any sort of help by those on the offensive side of the football. There are still some kinks to be worked out, but one cannot look at their production overall in 2021 and not think things are trending in the right direction.
While other high-profile names generate the majority of headlines, the contribution made by Myles Hartsfield has been a key component within the secondary. The Ole Miss product has moments of struggle, but considering he came into the organization as an undrafted free agent in 2020, for the player to be such an important part of the rotation represents an outstanding achievement.
Hartsfield can be an easy scapegoat at times, which is expected of someone that’s still learning on the job. Even though he might not ever become a prominent starter at the safety position, his 68 percent of defensive snaps indicate growth and increased trust from the coaching staff.
Two things Hartsfield can definitely build on ahead of 2022.
Things appear pretty bleak for the Panthers following defeat against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that leaves them at 5-10 following the team’s 3-0 start. However, if young players such as Hartsfield continue their encouraging development, the defense should be even stronger next time around.
