Channing Tindall – LB (Georgia)

One of the biggest reasons behind such an outstanding season from the Georgia defense in 2021 has been the production of Channing Tindall. The linebacker represents an exceptional sideline-to-sideline presence at the second level and someone that boasts eye-catching skills which can easily be transferred to the NFL.

Tindall’s speed is nothing short of astonishing and the prospect also has superb instincts that allow him to be around the football consistently. Something that is reflected with 58 tackles and four tackles for loss throughout the campaign.

Another area where Tindall can be of use is generating pressure. His explosiveness and agility cause absolute havoc and with 11 career sacks so far, the production matches the potential.

The Carolina Panthers could need help at linebacker if Jermaine Carter isn’t kept around. There are plenty of established veterans on the lookout for new deals this spring, so it appears highly unlikely those in power can find the funds to extend them all given they have $28.31 million in salary-cap space, according to Over the Cap.

Tindall represents an intriguing option that the Panthers might look to select and he is also a special teams ace, which the team values extremely highly. However, the organization might need to recoup some Day 2 selections in order to make this a reality.
