Which New Orleans Saints players must the Carolina Panthers keep quiet in Week 17 to try and end their losing streak?
The end of the season is near and there probably isn’t anyone more ready for it to be over than the Carolina Panthers, themselves.
It’s been a disaster of a year since the team started 3-0 and with the campaign now 17 games instead of 16, fans will have to sit through one more fixture before this rollercoaster can be put to an end.
After yet another home loss last week, the Panthers will finish up their 2021 campaign on the road in their final two games and will travel to face the New Orleans Saints this week.
While the Saints aren’t as daunting of a task as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were last week and will be next, New Orleans is also in a bit of a free fall with tons of injuries and players out with COVID.
The Saints will be looking for a revenge win against Carolina after they lost back in Week 2 and quarterback Taysom Hill will likely be back under center after a rough day with rookie Ian Book starting against the Miami Dolphins.
Carolina Panthers must tackle a tough Saints defense this weekend.
The one thing that New Orleans has improved on this season is its defense. This has been one of the league’s best over the past month and for a Panthers offense that has been completely inept, it’s possible this is a low-scoring game.
Compared to Week 2, these two teams look very different. Both are really just looking for a pride victory.
So, if Carolina does want to get the win, here are five players they’ll have to keep quiet.
