5 Saints players the Carolina Panthers must keep quiet in Week 17

Taysom Hill – QB
After Jameis Winston tore his ACL earlier this season, the New Orleans Saints went with Trevor Siemian as its starting quarterback. But after a few starts, head coach Sean Payton finally put his trust in the dual-threat Taysom Hill to be the man under center.
Hill missed last week’s game with COVID but in his three starts prior, he showed a mixed bag of results. The signal-caller can obviously run, rushing for over 100 yards in his first start three weeks ago, but his throwing ability still has question marks.
In his first start against the Dallas Cowboys, Hill threw two touchdowns but this came with four interceptions as an opportunist defensive unit made the most out of every mistake.
However, in the past two starts, Hill hasn’t thrown any interceptions. But the player has failed to produce a score through the air.
He is just must more of a runner and should be treated as such. That’s what makes this game so complicated for the Carolina Panthers because we don’t know how New Orleans plans to use him just yet.
Carolina might be struggling and losing motivation but Hill could provide a tough challenge if not defended properly. The Panthers need to be at the top of their game on the road and the BYU product can easily be shut down, as he’s shown.
