D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

  • Over 59.5 receiving yards (-125)

D.J. Moore managed to go over the 1,000-yard receiving mark for a third-straight season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last time out. A feat made even more impressive when one considers the extreme lack of stability at the quarterback position since he arrived in the league as a first-round pick out of Maryland.

This is another major boost to Moore’s chances of getting a lucrative contract extension from the Carolina Panthers. That might not arrive this offseason given the number of established veterans also looking to get paid, but the organization would be wise to resolve this issue at the earliest possible opportunity.

Moore will have his hands full at the New Orleans Saints. It’s likely the wideout will be going up against Marshon Lattimore throughout the game, who is one of the league’s best cover corners and can impact proceedings if some early momentum is generated.

Offensive coordinator Jeff Nixon has a big part to play here. Using Moore all over the field rather than restricting him to the outside is the smart play – something that could also make use of the player’s ability to generate yards after the catch.

Carolina needs Moore firing on all cylinders in this one and he looks to be finally over the recent injury problem that didn’t force him to miss any time. That’s why betting over 59.5 yards where the receiver is concerned at -125 (bet $125 to win $100) is a calculated risk that could pay off.
