5 dream head coaching hires if the Panthers remove Matt Rhule

Pete Carroll
Things are coming to a head for the Seattle Seahawks. Another disappointing season has thrown into doubt the futures of both quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll, which could lead the organization to choose between the two in the coming weeks.
Wilson still has something left in the tank.
And as the Carolina Panthers are acutely aware, franchise signal-callers are hard to find.
If the Seahawks decide to end Carroll’s hugely successful spell with the franchise and side with Wilson, then it could be an intriguing option for the Panthers providing there is a mutual interest.
Carroll already has a working relationship with Carolina’s general manager Scott Fitterer, which would obviously help an untold amount. There is the small matter of his age, but even at 70 years old, the former USC man still has a lot of energy left to give and loves football enough to take a risk such as this.
Obviously many factors must come to fruition before this is even a possibility. But judging by Carroll’s success after making the transition from college, there are far worse options if the organization is on the lookout for a new head coach this offseason.
