Harold Landry – OLB

  • 2021 team: Tennessee Titans
  • 2021 cap hit: $1.68 million

Adding to the defense might not be seen as a pressing need right now. But the Carolina Panthers have some key figures looking for new deals and it might be difficult keeping this improving unit together in the grand scheme of things.

Haason Reddick, Stephon Gilmore, Donte Jackson, Juston Burris, DaQuan Jones, and Jermaine Carter are all starting options out of contract, with Marquis Haynes also aiming to secure an extension in the not-too-distant future.

This could alter Carolina’s mindset when it comes to recruitment in the coming months. Keeping tabs on the situation involving Harold Landry and the Tennessee Titans would be a shrewd move by the organization.

Landry has been a solid performer throughout his four-year career and has taken his game to new heights in 2021. The outside linebacker already has 11.5 sacks on the season and 30 for his career, so if the Titans decide to let him walk the number of suitors will only drive the asking price up further.

Adding Landry to a pass-rush that already consists of Brian Burns, Derrick Brown, and hopefully, Reddick is a mouth-watering proposition. However, at the present moment, any move does appear unlikely considering the needs elsewhere.
