Has Cam Newton played his final snap for the Carolina Panthers?

Will another team sign Cam Newton?
If the association between Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers comes to an end for a second time this offseason, then all eyes will be on whether the quarterback generates any sort of interest don’t the free-agent market.
Teams weren’t exactly ringing off the hook when he was released by the New England Patriots. So it will be a nervous wait for the signal-caller if those in power move forward with Sam Darnold.
As stated previously, it’s hard to gauge where Newton is at from a talent standpoint right now. His threat running the football is still significant, but having almost no time to go through progressions and inaccuracies in the passing game could put some organizations off.
Newton is one of the only players holding themselves accountable, demonstrating leadership that was sorely lacking before his arrival. There is little doubt the signal-caller could be extremely useful in the right fit, but one could not say with any confidence another starting opportunity would emerge somewhere else.
Regardless of what happens in the coming weeks, it should not detract from what a monumental impact Newton made in Carolina. The Heisman Trophy winner lived up to being the No. 1 overall selection, shifting the culture and turning the Panthers from obscurity into the national spotlight and legitimate Super Bowl contention.
There will never be another Newton in terms of influence across the organization and the community. If the Panthers decide to go their separate ways, then it must be handled in the correct fashion this time.
Otherwise, this regime will alienate even more fans who are getting sick and tired of mediocre at best football.
