Which intriguing NFL Draft prospects could emerge as potential problem-solvers for the Carolina Panthers in 2022?

With the 2021 season in its final stages, attention is now turning to a crucial offseason period for the Carolina Panthers. It does appear as if Matt Rhule will remain as head coach despite growing unrest, but there is no more room for poor decisions when it comes to recruitment with another five-win season staring them in the face.

The Panthers currently have $28.3 million in salary-cap space remaining. So getting creative is key when one considers just how many established veterans are out of contract and looking to get paid.

Another critical area is the 2022 NFL Draft. Carolina doesn’t have a Day 2 pick currently after trades for Sam Darnold and C.J. Henderson, but general manager Scott Fitterer’s maneuvering up and down the board last spring means all hope is not lost just yet.

On this topic, we took a look at some college recruits and picked out five potential problem-solvers the Panthers should consider.

Kenyon Green – OG (Texas A&M)

The Carolina Panthers need a substantial change of heart regarding their offensive line. This is something that should arguably take top priority this offseason and if it doesn’t work out, at least the team will be in contention for a top quarterback prospect such as C.J. Stroud or Bryce Young in 2023.

If this is an avenue Carolina chooses to go down, then Kenyon Green enters the equation. The formidable interior lineman represents an instant upgrade on anything the Panthers have churned out at the guard spot in 2021 and has all the makings of a plug-and-play starter with Pro Bowl potential.

There aren’t many sure things when it comes to the draft. But the Texas A&M prospect is as close as it gets.
