Evan Neal – OT (Alabama)

Losing 11 of the last 13 games has only one upside for the Carolina Panthers. It puts them in a position to potentially end years of hell at the left tackle position by selecting Evan Neal.

The Alabama phenom is an exceptional prospect that looks tailor-made for a successful NFL career. His dominance is undeniable and another strong showing against Georgia in the National Championship game will only strengthen the player’s cause ahead of the evaluation process.

Neal’s size is imposing. This is matched by extraordinary athleticism that allows him to cope with even the speediest edge rushers with ease.

Carolina has been getting some nice production from Brady Christensen after Matt Rhule finally gave him some reps at his preferred position. The BYU product certainly looks the part outside of the odd mistake and the Panthers could end up giving him the starting job in 2022 – allowing them to focus on other areas of need in the draft.

That being said, a player of Neal’s promise doesn’t come around too often. If he is there at the time Carolina comes on the clock, it’s going to be a franchise-altering decision one way or another.

Neal is the definition of a problem solver. And the Panthers haven’t had anything consistent at left tackle since the days of Jordan Gross.
