What are some realistic starting options at quarterback in 2022 for the Carolina Panthers ahead of a crucial offseason for the franchise?

There is no question what the Carolina Panthers will be focused on first this offseason. They must fix the offensive line and find a starting quarterback.

A team that started 3-0 on the season and looked to be a contender absolutely collapsed down the stretch. While one could argue a large share of the blame belongs squarely on the shoulders of Matt Rhule, there is no denying the biggest problem.

Sam Darnold and Cam Newton have been unable to run an offense that has potential. Although few would find life easy playing in front of such dismal protection.

The Panthers have a star receiver and an All-Pro running back when healthy, so they should be attaining more productivity than they’ve accomplished this season. A competent signal-caller could have kept Carolina in contention for an NFC wildcard race that is coming down to the final week.

A huge offseason awaits. One that could have some significant ramifications and if the Panthers don’t make the right personnel moves this spring, it has the potential to set the organization back years in the process.

With this in mind, here are six realistic starting options at quarterback for the Panthers in 2022.
