3 winners and 3 losers from Carolina Panthers’ loss at the Bucs in Week 18

Myles Hartsfield – Carolina Panthers DB
Since signing with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted rookie last year, Myles Hartsfield has been a do-it-all guy on the field. Not only playing as a cornerback and safety on defense but also taking running back snaps on offense.
This season, Hartsfield has been a fill-in cornerback most of the time but has had some sparks as the year went on. Last week, the defensive back had a few dropped interceptions and bounced back against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in a big way.
On the first drive of the game, he sacked Tom Brady, which was only the first quarterback takedown of his NFL career. Hartsfield then proceeded to total a career-high 12 total tackles.
With the Panthers hurting majorly at cornerback to finish the year, Hartsfield was all over the field and finally got the credit and recognition that he’s earned during his first two NFL seasons.
It remains to be seen if this will give him a bigger impact in Carolina next year. But it was a nice way to cap off his sophomore season and there should be a role for the former Ole Miss standout in 2022 providing the necessary developments are made during the offseason.
