7 pros and cons to the Carolina Panthers drafting Carson Strong in 2022

Production matches talent
Unlike prospects in the past that were solely banking on a strong arm for NFL Draft clout, Carson Strong has plenty of production to boast along with his ridiculously powerful arm. The quarterback had an impressive first two years at Nevada, combining to throw 38 touchdowns compared to just 11 interceptions.
However, his final season signaled the real coming-out party. As a junior, Strong threw for 36 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. Additionally, he tossed for more than 4,186 yards, which was over 1,300 yards than he threw for as a sophomore.
Some will say his production was amplified thanks to operating in an air-raid system, but Strong’s completion percentage and low turnover totals represent impressive and consistent efficiency.
As a junior, just 1.5 percent of Strong’s passes were intercepted. This is a very impressive clip, especially for a bonafide gunslinger who frequently pushes the ball vertically and seeks out tight throwing windows.
The quarterback is always seen as one of a team’s most important leaders, and Strong has been a linchpin within the Nevada program ever since he started taking first-team snaps. As the starter of the Wolfpack, he accumulated a record of 20-10, which is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed where the Carolina Panthers are concerned.
