5 worst moments of the Carolina Panthers’ 2021 season

Carolina Panthers loss at NY Giants
When one examines the 2021 season, this is the game when everything began to unravel at a rapid rate. The Carolina Panthers traveled to the New York Giants as favorites for the game, only to turn in one of the most disappointing performances in franchise history.
Let’s get this right, the Giants are a complete mess. They have been all season and for the Panthers to roll over the way they did was nothing short of disgraceful.
But that did not stop them from putting up a dominant display against the Panthers – who ended up benching Sam Darnold in favor of P.J. Walker when things truly got out of hand.
A 25-3 loss is even more embarrassing now than it was then. The Giants have been in absolute freefall ever since and with general manager Dave Gettleman heading out of the door, speculation continues to mount about the future of head coach Joe Judge just two years into the job.
That sounds familiar.
Carolina ended the season 1-8 and went 2-12 after such a promising 3-0 start. One couldn’t pinpoint exactly where things began going downhill fast, but losing so emphatically at MetLife Stadium was a clear sign of how much work needed to be done.
It was embarrassing. A really low moment from a season littered with underachievement and the start of things to come.
