D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

There wasn’t much to be excited about while watching the Carolina Panthers offense this season and that’s for a multitude of reasons. But the one bright spot was continued strong play from wide receiver D.J. Moore.

The 2018 first-round pick out of Maryland went through another year in Carolina playing with a revolving door of starting quarterbacks and once again, he managed to put up over 1,100 receiving yards, joining Stefon Diggs as the only player during that time period to hit that milestone.

Moore still hasn’t been named a Pro Bowler despite his three-straight 1,000-yard seasons. But he has been the one constant on this Panthers offense, which has fans wondering how much better he could be with consistent production under center.

There were some struggles for Moore this year with a handful of dropped catches in pivotal moments during some games. However, the effort that he brought to every game can’t be ignored.

At 24 years old, Moore is still very young and hasn’t even reached his prime yet. Making it that much more pivotal for the Panthers to not screw up the next quarterback.

In a year that could have been a wash based on all the struggles offensively, Moore didn’t let it affect him. Hopefully, that will be recognized more as his career continues.

With his fellow wideout Robby Anderson getting a big contract extension last offseason, Moore is up next to receive a payday and it’d be hard to imagine Carolina not throwing the bag at him.
