D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

Amid all the disappointment surrounding the quarterback position and the torrid offensive line who couldn’t even cope with the simplest of tasks, it was another outstanding season from D.J. Moore. The wide receiver has been the one shining light from another year of mediocrity at best, which will once again get little to no national media exposure given the state of the franchise right now.

The Carolina Panthers got a third-straight 1,000-yard season from Moore despite the revolving door at quarterback. This achievement should get more recognition as the former first-round pick has yet to enjoy any sort of meaningful consistency from whoever is distributing the football since leaving Maryland for the pros.

Just what Moore would be capable of with an elite signal-caller is something to think about. But it’s hard to argue against the fact he’d be a Pro Bowler at the very least.

Moore has long been regarded as one of the league’s most underappreciated wideouts. Someone that excels generating yards after the catch with speed and physicality in equal measure.

If the Panthers decide to wait until giving Moore the contract extension he deserves, then it might end up costing them a huge sum once the 2022 season comes to a conclusion. The deal wouldn’t set the market, but it will be the biggest given to a player at the position by Carolina without a doubt.
