A major first-round trade takes primary focus for the Carolina Panthers in our latest full seven-round 2022 NFL mock draft.

The Carolina Panthers season ended in fitting fashion at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a lopsided loss that was ended by a Sam Darnold interception. Regression and frustration were the resounding themes for the organization and its fans in 2021 and something has to change.

Now for a front office and coaching staff on thin ice, this is the offseason that will determine their future. Finding an answer at the quarterback position and acquiring high-impact players in the draft are the only moves that will save this Panthers regime.

Simply put, one more mistake could be fatal.

With this in mind, let’s dive into our full seven-round mock draft. With Evan Neal off the board before the Panthers pick, Carolina opts to trade down and get themselves additional capital.

Carolina Panthers trade down from No. 6 overall

For a team in Carolina with a lot of roster issues to address, it is the obvious move to make if Neal isn’t on the board when the Panthers’ number is called.

Opting to acquire a much-needed second-round pick and only moving down four spots would be too tempting of an offer to pass up. And in this scenario, another deal is struck with the New York Jets.
