Carolina Panthers make huge trade in full 7-round 2022 mock draft

Carolina Panthers select Jojo Domann – LB (Nebraska)
With their final pick in the draft, the Carolina Panthers improve their defensive depth by drafting JoJo Domann. As any prospect will at this point in the draft, the linebacker has his issues but in this position, he is the right pick.
The prospect can be a liability when it comes to pass coverage and that is the biggest reason he will still be on the board at this point. However, there is also no denying that Domann is a hard-hitting tank with a nose for the football.
Domann demonstrated an ability to get to the quarterback during his time at Nebraska. Whether it was on a run blitz or containing a broken play, there’s little doubt he has the closing speed to get home.
Although someone like Domann wouldn’t profile as a starter right away in the Carolina defense, he would be a great rotational option that can help stuff the run in certain situations and also assist on special teams during his early development.
Bringing Domann would improve their linebacker depth considerably. However, this might be a more pressing priority for the Panthers depending on whether the likes of Jermaine Carter, Haason Reddick, and Frankie Luvu are around next season or not.
