Which 2022 NFL Draft prospects could the Carolina Panthers select at No. 6 overall if Alabama tackle Evan Neal is no longer on the board as expected?

As the dust settles on an abysmal 2021 Carolina Panthers season, it’s time to look forward to the offseason and one of the key parts of their recruitment process is the 2022 NFL Draft. And with the organization securing another top-10 pick, there’s debate amongst fans as to which way the decision-makers will go from No. 6 overall this spring.

With Carolina needing to fix a plethora of positions, general manager Scott Fitterer has a few options, the best probably being stud Alabama tackle Evan Neal. However, the chances of the Okeechobee Florida native falling to No. 6 are low.

If for some reason Neal is still around when Carolina makes their selection, then they should have a hard time passing up on such a supremely gifted blindside protector. But the Panthers should be prepared to look elsewhere with their selections.

Carolina Panthers could trade down from No. 6 if Evan Neal isn’t available

There is also the possibility of trading down to acquire more capital. Considering the Panthers don’t currently possess a Day 2 following trades for Sam Darnold and C.J. Henderson, this is a realistic option the team will consider if Neal isn’t available.

Without further ado, here are four intriguing draft prospects not named Neal that the Panthers could take with their first-round selection in the upcoming draft.
