Kyle Hamilton – S (Notre Dame)

Kyle Hamilton has been coined by some in the media as the best athlete available prospect entering the NFL this year. The 6-foot-4 Atalanta native who was born in Greece has shown during his time with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish that he has all the attributes to succeed at the next level.

Simply put, Hamilton’s long frame and speed will make him an immediate asset to most defenses.

While the Carolina Panthers already have one safety starter in Jeremy Chinn, that position is not exactly solid. And there has even been speculation from defensive coordinator Phil Snow that the Southern Illinois product could be moved back down to the second level where he starred as a rookie

Even if they do keep Chinn at the safety position, he doesn’t have a stable partner alongside him. After a solid 2020 campaign, we saw veteran Juston Burris regress considerably after a stint on the reserve/injured list.

This led to Burris being benched in favor of former XFL star Kenny Robinson, who flashed as a starter in the latter part of the season and could play a bigger role next time around.

Carolina may look to next season and see Robinson as a solid enough piece to partner Chinn. But if Hamilton does slide outside his projected top-five, it may give them a decision to make.
