4 reasons the Panthers cannot risk it all for Deshaun Watson in 2022

Deshaun Watson has too much baggage
Although Deshaun Watson’s talent is unquestioned, it’s not that simple.
As stated previously, Watson is currently going through some troubling matters off the field that caused him to be a healthy scratch throughout 2021 and cast a substantial shadow on his reputation for good measures.
Before these sexual misconduct allegations, Watson was considered to be a stand-up member of the community and has been credited for his charitable work to assist those less fortunate. However, that’s been pretty much forgotten now, and the one big reason he’s still a Texans player rather than on another roster.
When David Tepper bought the Carolina Panthers from disgraced founder Jerry Richardson, he vowed to re-establish the organization’s reputation and completely change the culture. Trading for Watson and all his newfound baggage is the complete opposite of this statement.
Winning is all that matters at the end of the day. That’s why controversial figures such as Antonio Brown get countless chances despite their past discrepancies.
Watson will undoubtedly fall into this category unless something else detrimental emerges. But the Panthers do not need the extra hassle even if his potential arrival could make them contenders in the blink of an eye.
