Von Miller – OLB

  • 2021 team – Denver Broncos/Los Angeles Rams

It is unlikely there will be a team in the league that doesn’t have at least some level of interest in Von Miller. The stud edge defender made his name during the Denver Broncos‘ win over the Carolina Panthers and Cam Newton in Super Bowl 50, so fans already know what the prolific player is capable of.

Now as a member of the Los Angeles Rams, Miller is getting ready to receive a big contract in free agency. As interesting as it would be to bring a rival player into the fold, the fit doesn’t make sense and Carolina’s focus should be on keeping their current pass rush that helped them stay in games this season.

Bringing Miller to Carolina would be a fun story. One that would be wasting cap space on a position the Panthers already have an answer to.

Miller is more likely to head back to Denver or sign with a team willing to overpay for a pass rusher if the Rams decided not to extend the future Pro Football Hall of Famer.

There is also the fact that Miller isn’t the player he once was with the Broncos. He is still a good pass rusher but doesn’t have the quickness and explosive playmaking ability he did early on.

At this point in his career, Miller is a solid free agent who will be overpaid due to the name he made for himself in Denver’s Super Bowl run.
