5 players the Carolina Panthers should not give up on in 2022

Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
The 2021 season is not one Robby Anderson will remember fondly. After signing a lucrative two-year extension prior to the campaign, things did not go according to plan for the wide receiver thanks to a lack of chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold and some individual errors thrown in for good measure.
Anderson looked every bit the No. 1 wideout during his first year with the Panthers. Something the former New York Jet was not able to replicate en route to a career-low in yards gained and frustration that boiled over onto the sidelines on more than one occasion.
There is no denying Anderson’s talent. That was there for all to see in 2020.
However, something was clearly amiss and it’s going to take a big effort from Anderson this offseason in pursuit of getting back on track.
Perhaps improved protection in front of Darnold – if he is the man under center in 2022 – could help Anderson and his signal-caller improve timing. Much will also depend on how young stars such as Terrace Marshall Jr., Tommy Tremble, and Shi Smith progress ahead of their sophomore seasons as they look to become more influential in the passing game.
Anderson could still play a huge part for the Panthers. And the player certainly has the right mindset to get things trending in the right direction.
